Blueair For Pure Air

Pollution, be it indoor or outdoor has been one of the most disturbingly impacting issues lately. After our massive Diwali celebrations this year, we witnessed the trailer of something that could soon become a horrifying movie if we don’t seek corrective measures, or prevention methods at the least.

According to the stats, nearly 98% of the urban population is exposed to poor air quality; and 13 of the world’s 20 most polluted cities are in India. What we usually fail to notice or accept is that, our indoor environment can be 2 to 5 times more polluted than the air outside. The polluted air that is on the outside is also what we end up breathing on the inside, because that is what stays.
The long overdue awareness campaigns of the environmental health peril have given a rise to the use of Air Purifiers for homes, offices or any other closed environment. A name that has come forward to help with this hazardous situation is Blueair, with its range of highly advanced air purifiers!

BLUEAIR PURIFIERS: Sold in sixty countries around the world, Blueair delivers home and office users a clean indoor environment for better wellbeing. They claim to get rid of 99.97% of allergens, asthma triggers, viruses, bacteria and other airborne pollutants.

Blueair has teamed up with HICARE, a leading pest control and home cleaning Services Company, to reach out to 200 Indian cities so that India can breathe easy. HICARE with its trained personnel will not advice and install these superior air purifiers at your home and offices, but will also cater to the services and upkeep.
That’s how they provide a convenient after sale service.

Who doesn’t like to app it out
Many models have built in intelligence technology that syncs the device with an app or a sleep Blueair Aware air monitor which lets the user to understand what really is being purified.
These models are: Blue pure211, Blueair Classic 280i, 480i, and 680i. The Blueair Classic also offers an improved Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR), which seamlessly filters 20% more air on a much faster speed.

Blueair devices are unlike any other purifiers, low on noise. Mr. Girish Bapat (director) quoted an incident where a guest of his inquired if the Air purifier installed in his home is actually working, as it was extremely quiet. With silence as a factor, they also take up as low as energy as a light bulb would. They even qualify for an ‘Energy Star’ rating.

Keeping the purifier silent doesn’t compromise with its functions at all. Blueair HEPASilent Technology captures airborne particles down to 0.1 micron in size with its revolutionary combination of advanced filter media and an encapsulated particle charging chamber which uses mechanical plus electrostatic technology aiming to become the best air purifier in India.

Designed to fit in your home or office space with its ravishing looks, they have already been praised. Its design has earned it a couple of titles like, ‘Good Design Award’ 2016, ‘Excellent Swedish Design’, and ‘G Mark’.

Another specification that makes Blueair different is that they are eco-friendly. Blueair is made of the most environmentally friendly polymers available; it produces only water and carbon dioxide when it is decomposed. Adopting steel over plastic allows the devices to be recycled without degradation of material properties.

This global brand, which deals only in Air Purifiers, is set to mark their existence in Indian markets. HICARE have put the products up for sale from 8th February, 2017 on their official website: www.hicare.in with prices starting at Rs. 24,990 onwards.

As Ms. Annika Waller, Chief Marketing Officer, worldwide (Blueair) quotes:

“We have identified India as a key market for Blueair; with rising awareness about good and healthy living, we are confident Blueair will soon become a part of everyday life here”

Blueair exceeds industry standards to create products that combine unparalleled performance, technological innovation with sleek Swedish designs, constant innovation and strives to deliver cleaner air solution ensuring that you breathe clean and pure as nature intended.

Filmy Flavours, Sector 63, Noida

We come many different kinds of restaurants, lounges, eateries ever now and then. But not all of them leave a lasting impression on our minds. We usually end up remembering the ones which have either the best food, or the best theme; In rare cases, both!

Talking about the theme based restaurants, Bollywood theme has been one of the most famous ones. Bollywood Biistro, Mumbai Matinee, Box Office Cafe are some of the famous names. One such understated place is Filmy Flavours in Sector 63, Noida!
There is something about this place which makes it a better bollywood themed restaurant.

The minute you enter the place, you see stories related to various movies and characters, from the early 80s to the year 2015.
Cutouts from famous movies and iconic roles like, three bums from 3 Idiots, Krishh, DDLJ; sitting is divided into booths the walls of which are also covered with Facts about actors/actresses, installations and props, and even the names of dishes are bollywoody!

Once I was done admiring the ambiance, I decided to get myself a mocktail.
I ordered Cucumber Cooler, and Blue Curacao
Out of these two, I really liked Blue Curacao because of its refreshing yet sweet taste!

Trying so hard to focus on the dishes, but I was taken away from the point by the fun names!
For starters,

Mohabbat hai Mirgh Murgh Tikka:
These murgh tikkas were prepared with all the chinese feels, one could easily enjoy the authentic chinese taste that these tikka bought to the table!
Soft and juicy pieces, done with the right tastes, with all the sides made a pretty nice starter.

Another old school starter were the Chilly Paneer Peggy Chops

Rock & Roll Chicken Salt and Pepper were chicken fingers, though a little dry but were crisp and tasted amazing. They had a chatpata taste, with the soft chicken within. Highly recommended with the dips!

Definitely impressed by their Chinese starters,
we ordered for Dil Maange Chicken Manchurian (Gravy) with Chicken Faffy Fried Rice.
Not that this combination tasted bad, they tasted pretty decent, but lacked the wow factor.
Go for a safe bet.

Badshah Murgi Makhan Masala was another old school classic!
Have it with Geruha Garlic Naan and you are sure to have a good Indian main course!

Ending the meal with Phirni and mousse.

The phirni was one of the bests that I had.

The mousse was however, no where close to what mousse are like.
It was basically flavored cream.

I ordered for Kiwi and Mango mousse, loved the little tastes of mango and kiwi that I kept getting every now and then. Name them something else, and you have a good dessert.
Also, they are served in a shot glass.

An amazingly done bollywood themed restaurant,
what I wish for is that they maintain it to like it is right now for a really long time to go,
with decent food and super steal buffet option!

Probably one of the best in Sector 63, Noida.
Don't miss it.

HUL Pureit taking down Indoor Pollution I

One word that goes hand in hand with the Delhi atmosphere is ‘Hazardous’. Over these months, we have also established the fact that it’s not only Delhi whose air has become uneasy to breathe, but almost all the other metro cities, affecting us in a great way.
After our massive Diwali celebrations this year, we witnessed the trailer of something that could soon become a horrifying movie if we don’t seek corrective measures, or prevention methods at the least.

We live in a country which has secured 1/3rd of the world’s total asthma patients. Issues like coughing, sneezing, wheezing, burning eyes are just the start of something big and permanent as prolonged lung damage.

But this isn’t just the cause of lung damage or a respiratory problem. The pollutants that are evident to the eyes are not the only dangerous thing around us. Air pollutants include smoke from traffic, dust from roads and construction sites, bacteria, virus and most importantly elements called PM 2.5 which go deep into lungs and blood.

Another source of these diseases, which was so much understated earlier, has made this whole situation even worse – Indoor Pollution. The pollution inside our homes/offices builds up due to the internal factors like cooking, and external elements that clings on to almost every other piece of furniture or sets on the surface!

We can somehow avoid a great deal of pollution prevailing outside in the open, but how does one escape the pollution indoors?
We spent 90% of our times indoors, and 90% of indoors in that polluted air.

It is a little too late to take corrective measures right now; all we have in our hands are preventive methods. One such preventive measure is getting an Air Purifier for all the time you spend indoors.

I have been reading a lot about Air purifiers from the last few days, and I will be telling about a couple of them on my blog in the coming week.

Just as a water purifier works, an Air purifier purifies by passing the Air through specialized series of filters. These three filters are:
  1. Prefilter: Removes large particles, pet hair, etc.
  2. ·        HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Adsorption): Removes Particulate Matter (PM 2.5), smoke, bacteria and virus
  3. ·        Activated Carbon Filter: Remove VoC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and Odor.

One of the leading water purifier brand, Pureit has also launched its own range of Air purifiers.
Pureit Air Purifier comes with Purelung technology which is India’s first Air Purifier ceritified to remove 99% of 6 different types of pollutants in just 1 hour. 6 different types of pollutant being:
  • ·        Cigarette Smoke
  • ·        Dust (Like airborne micro dust)
  • ·        Particulate Matter (PM 2.5 and PM 10)
  • ·        Air Borne Bacteria (Similar to Tuberculosis and Conjuctivities)
  • ·        Air Borne Virus (Similar to H1N1 and Influenza)
  • ·        Allergens (Pollen, Mold Spores, Dust Mites, and Pet Dander)

Covers pretty much all of it, I suppose.

‘Air Quality Indicator’ (AQI) uses sensors to detect the pollutants in your room and show you how polluted your indoors are.
It comes in handy when the user chose to run the purifier in an automatic mode where the sensor will sense and decide on the speed of the purifier.

One thing that annoys about these kinds of units is the LED display blinking right at the face all night, or the noise of the fan that keeps buzzing. To cater this, they have a Night Mode which switches off all the LED in the display panel and reduces fan speed to the quitest mode.

Also, they have a pre – determined time period in the device for 2, 4, and 8 hours for easy operations! The overall power consumption of a unit is as low as ceiling fan.
More expensive and heavy units are powered with dual fans and filters for powerful purification. While every other competitor makes claim on filter efficiency, Pureit make the claim on product’s working efficiency.

It also brings about the world’s first refresh rate. No other unit would tell you how many times your room’s air has been refreshed.

Pureit makes about 1 million water purifiers in India alone every year and is the world’s largest Water Purifier Brand. They use not just 1, but 2 carbon in every purifier, that is 2 million carbon cartridge every year. They are experts on PCarbon Filtration and have used their expertise to deliver good gas and odour removal as well, over and above usual HEPA filter which every other competition offers.

Pureit purifies the air by their filters, but how would you know if your filters need purification too?
Here’s how - Pureit Promise of ensuring that you get an alert when your filters are due for a change and shut the device out post filter expiry to ensure you are always breathing only the best air.

Pureit circles around the very basic purpose of Air purification from the depths. They have been putting in their resources for spreading awareness about how increasing population is affecting the masses.

They even have a Free Home Demo which would help make up your mind faster: Demo
